The Symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes Should Be Known To All
The symptoms of diabetes type 2 can sometimes show up over a long period of time, slowly. Because of this, many people with this serious disease can have it for years and be unaware of it. If you have history of diabetes in your family it is important for you to get tested for it regularly, which is one reason why several health care providers recommend that you get tested for diabetes often.
When a persons body develops a resistance to insulin that is naturally created by the pancreas they usually develop type 2 diabetes. When this happens, the persons body will generate larger amounts of insulin to regulate sugar/glucose levels in the bloodstream. The body will continue to want more and more insulin and eventually will not be able to keep up producing an adequate amount of it to regulate the sugar levels. Type 2 diabetes is the most logical result of these events.
Some of the symptoms that come with this condition may be more common than others, but many symptoms may be present. These symptoms can include reoccurring infections, frequent bathroom visiting, blurry vision, inexplicable weight loss, fatigue, and taking longer time than normal to heal from injuries or illnesses.
The blood will attempt to withdraw extra fluids from the tissues of the body when it contains more sugar than normal. This will result in an increased thirsty feeling, which will cause a person to consume more liquids. Which in turn will cause a person to need to use the restroom more often so they are able to expel the extra liquids that are being consumed.
The problems with peoples pancreases either producing irregular levels of insulin for the body or their bodies developing a resistance to the insulin produced by it, remains unknown. Excessive weight, and lack of physical activity among many other things have been thought to be the triggering causes to these diseases.
When a person is considered to be a diabetic, one of the first things the doctor tells them is to change their eating habits. If diabetes is already a concern, changing your diet can prevent/prolong the development of this type of diabetes and help keep your blood glucose levels more regular, and many people fail to realize this.
Knowing the various symptoms of type 2 diabetes can help you to watch out for them early so that if you do notice any of the symptoms you can take action early enough to avoid a serious problem. Making the necessary changes early enough in your diabetes can prevent the need for insulin injections, but if you let it advance too much this medication may be required for you. You need to follow your doctors orders exactly if you are trying to prevent any more problems from occurring, if you are one who requires insulin injections.
